Toquell Curiana

The infant half twin of Christina de Velland, who has a strange mystical connection to his sister. Toquell was born of a relationship between the notorious necromancer Selena Curiana and the High Priest of the Lord of Blood Fury and thus has a link to both blood and ash. Christina used him to get close to his namesake Toquell Velasquez, suggesting some manner of connection to him too. The augaries of Gideon Wiscar suggest he might be some sort of balancing force between the heir to the White City, Eleanor De Courci, and his sister. This implies that he may have some role to play in which of the White City or the Golden City is destroyed. Given his seeming importance the Governess has invited him and his grandmother to stay at the De Courci palace.
