Background

Kadar Qudamah Rabah Al Elmonaquith Ramela (The powerful, son of the Courageous, grandson of the winner of the Port of Sands) often goes by the name Saruba Zielda (Steel Skin).

In the Port of Sands far in the east, many Dukedoms compete and conflict with those of near by kingdoms and this provides ample work for Mercenaries in the area. One such group of mercenaries is called the Black Sands. Primarily human the officers and heads of the company are all of the same Troll Blooded, this is Kadars Family. Some say the inhuman blood is the side effect of a curse on the family, but they consider it a blessing given the field in which they work.

Life was simple and it was good for a young and strong warrior in a successful mercenary company. But what started out as vivid dreams, became feverish hallucinations. As the visions became more detailed, so too did they become more frequent. One vision nearly cost Kadar his life as they blinded him and rendered him helpless during a mid battle duel with a mercenary leader. Only an act of great fortune brought the arrow that slew the man just before his spear ended him.

The visions that plagued Kadar showed him gold flowing like water over his palm, a city tall and resplendent in white stone, a thousand swords against a million foes and many deeds both heroic and villainous. There was only one choice. To go on a pilgrimage west, to see with his own eyes what his minds eye had seen many times.

Would there be gold? Was there fighting to be done with great rewards? Who were the heroes and who were the villains?

The White City held the answers.

[This is just the first draft, not expecting everything to be right, so expect some changes once I get some feedback etc]
