Raised in small village by an elderly uncle who, in his youth, was an expert swordsman, Kevin came to the White City seeking to put his fighting skills to good use. His rather strict and unconventional values led him to quickly reject the most obvious course of becoming a professional soldier or guardsman. He is fiercely protective of those he sees as being worthy of it (such as the innocent, or those who have proven themselves as honorable allies). On the other hand he has no patience and little compassion for those whom he deems unworthy.

An example of such people are those who bring ruin upon themselves through either short-sighted greed or stupidity. As a result, he found that he fit in quite well as an enforcer for a local loan-shark, where those he would use his skills against would typically be greedy fools who over-extended themselves, and then tried to run off rather than pay their rightful debts.

After accumulating both real-world combat experience (mostly against above-mentioned debt-skippers), and the necessary finances, he has begun adventuring as a warrior-for-hire. He has also recently begun to delve into the realm of blood magic, following the example of the Lady of Battles.
